They are experienced professionals who take care of everything from start to finish. After installing the system, they even cleaned the apartment. Jimmy also went above and beyond to take care of our permits and I am grateful for all his help.
In the beginning, when I was shopping for a contractor, I decided to choose them because they gave us an excellent price and explained everything very clearly. The other contractors charge extra for everything (installation, permits and warranty), so you need to make sure to ask them. With Jimmy and his crew, all the charges were included in the price. The HVAC unit in our apartment was acting up; it whined loudly fairly frequently and would only cool for a little while at a time before it just gave up. After getting a recommendation in a local Facebook group, I gave Hansson's a call. Eric was very friendly and helpful, and once on site was very patient and informative, which I especially appreciated as a first-time homeowner. Being first time homeowners, when our central air conditioning system went south it was stressful to say the least. I found out about Hansson by doing a random Google search and I'm glad I did. Jim and his son Eric came out within 24 hours and thoroughly explained what the problem was. Our central air conditioning was fixed the next day. They wanted to replace my parts and charge me over $3,000 Thank god I found Hanssons. They found the problem with my central A/C unit and it was something very minor. Not even close to 3 grand. I would use them again in a heart beat. They are honest and reliable and they know what they are doing!

Jim Hansson provided the first quote for the replacement of our central air conditioning and gas heat furnace, and I had an idea after meeting him that we'd ultimately choose him for the job. I was e-mailed an estimate within hours, and it turned out to be the most reasonable of the six total quotes that we received. He and his team are knowledgeable, experienced, and prompt. Throughout the entire process, every phone call I made was answered (not once did I have to leave a voicemail), and it is clear that customer satisfaction is of utmost importance. Jim was very flexible and adaptable when scheduling appointments, and he was able to work around our other home renovations and work schedules. They took care of dealing with the city permits and will make arrangements for the final inspection. The price of the permits (and everything else the job would entail) was included in the estimate, and there were no surprise or hidden costs after the fact. The price of the original estimate is exactly the price I paid when everything was said and done. Gas furnace at my parents' house wouldn't kick on this year. With cold temp days starting up, I didn't want to take a chance of leaving them dependent on just a space heater. I called up Hansson's and had them come out and take a look. Confirmed that the 40+ year old furnace had seen it's last winter. It needed to be replaced. Luckily, Jim and his team were able to get everything set up to have them working, reliable heat by Monday.

I can't recommend this company enough. They've been doing this 27 years. Jim's old school, trustworthy, and is very fair with his assessments and prices. Great communication back and forth with him (especially since I had to help set this up for my mom and dad over the phone as I don't live in NJ anymore).
